At Lithos-Skyline Aerial Photography and Drone Surveys, we strive to capture informative aerial photography and video footage for a variety of industries and purposes. Our mission is to elevate your vision with our high-quality drone services.
We genuinely care about everything we do, so do please get in touch with us to work with you for your Powerline, Wind Turbine, Solar Panel Surveys and Inspections.
Drone powerline inspections are a modern, efficient method for monitoring and maintaining powerline infrastructure. They offer several advantages over traditional inspection methods, including enhanced safety, cost-effectiveness, and improved data accuracy.
Benefits of Drone Powerline Inspections:
Key Features
Applications
Wind turbine inspections are critical for ensuring the efficiency, safety, and longevity of wind energy systems. Regular inspections help detect and address issues early, preventing costly repairs and downtime.
Why use drones?
We check blades for surface damage, we look for cracks, erosion, and lightning strikes. We also check for structural integrity for example checking for delamination and internal defects.
We also capture the outer areas of the nacelle and we will capture imagery of the tower and look for signs of such as corrosion and rust.
Finally, we will capture imagery of the tower base, so these can be inspected for signs of settlement or cracking.
The Solar Industry in general is at our very heart of our business, because when I first started working as a Construction Project Manager and Design Manager it was working within the solar industry, working for Centrica or British Gas Solar.
This gave us the very best foundation within the industry and I carried out a number of flagship projects across the UK.
I started working on roof mounted systems on customers home, schools and industrial units, then later ran ground mounted schemes at Toyota in Derby, ABP Barry Docks, Thames Water, along with many others. I was extremely proud to work in the solar industry.
We will capture all of the solar installation that we are working on and the imagery will be uploaded to Scopito, who are a leading company that powers our reports.
With a mixture of AI and human inspection each image is analysed and a comprehensive report is generated.
If a PDF site plan is issued with a schedule of distribution boards, inverters, strings and panels numbers, any panel with a defect will be tagged. With this, any engineer knows from the itemised PDF, where the faults are and they can go straight to the fault and rectify the issue.
The customer and client is at the very heart of our business, so we are happy to work in with you needs and requirement, so please feel free to get in touch to discuss your specific requirements.
At Lithos-Skyline we are happy to work on a imagery supply basis only. This means that you will give us your deliverables and requirements, and we will collect imagery that supports your needs and requirements. It is then up to you how you analysis the imagery we supply.
However, if you would like an all all in one solution, then we work in partnership with Scopito. Scopito are based in Europe and the USA, and work for the biggest names in the Renewable and Energy sectors.
We will fly our drone powerline, wind turbine, solar panel survey mission, and once this is completed, the imagery will be uploaded to Scopito. Scopito have a team of qualified and competent UK based Linesman, Solar Engineers and Wind Turbine Blade Inspectors who will comment on any defects found on your assets. Once completed, we will send all of the original imagery and a PDF report highlighting any defects.
To operate drones and carry out aerial photography and drone surveys commercially, you must have GVC certificate and insurance. We have an Operations Manual for our flight operations and an Operational Authorisation from the Civil Aviation Authority, which is renewed yearly.
I hold all of the requirements to carry out aerial photography and drone surveys commercially and hold insurance cover of £5,000,000.00, this allows me to fly in all open and specific airspace. For specific project this can be raised up to £50,000,0000.00.
